Pedro steps down, Hippy returns

...when the opportunity arose, it was something that I couldn’t turn down
- Luke Hipwell

Alex Street has stepped down from his role as Wisbech Town FC First Team Manager after just under a year in the job.

His replacement is former Fenman player Luke Hipwell who was most recently in charge at Deeping Rangers from June 2022 until late February 2024 and had previously been a coach with the Fenmen under Gary Setchell.

Luke had this to say regarding his appointment: “Delighted to be joining Wisbech Town as First Team Manager. It’s a club I’ve had great experiences with as a player and coach/assistant, so when the opportunity arose, it was something that I couldn’t turn down but needed to make sure that it was right timing for me and that I could fully commit to the job. I hope to help the club progress moving forward, both on and off the pitch, starting with the FA Vase game on Saturday away at Harleston.”

Luke’s management team will consist of Ross McNeil (first team coach) and an assistant manager (to be confirmed). We would like to place on record our thanks to Alex for all of his efforts during his time with us. Alex will continue to support the first team both on and off the pitch, along with the operational side of the football club.
